Department of Information Resources (DIR) State agency whose goal is to promote the efficient use and management of information resources and assist the state leadership in achieving its goals through advice and recommendation on information resources issues.  

• Information Resources Management (IRM)   This site is intended to provide IRMs with a snapshot view of their roles and responsibilities from a state perspective. It covers common questions asked by IRMs seeking to understand the duties and activities they must accomplish.
• Telecommunications Planning and Oversight Council The mission of TPOC is to develop a plan for a state telecommunications network that will effectively and efficiently meet the long-term requirements for state government for voice, video, and data communications, with the goal of achieving a single, centralized telecommunications network for state government.

Office of Court Administration OCA is a state agency that provides administrative support and technical assistance to all of the courts of Texas. The agency was created in 1977 and operates under the direction of the chief justice of the Supreme Court of Texas, pursuant to Government Code, Chapter 72.

• Texas Judicial Council  Operates pursuant to Government Code, Chapter 71 -- "The council shall design methods for simplifying judicial procedure, expediting the transaction of judicial business, and correcting faults in or improving the administration of justice. .... The council shall file a complete detailed report with the governor and the supreme court before December 2 of each year on council activities, information from the council's study, and council recommendations."

• Judicial Committee on Information Technology  Operates pursuant to Government Code, Chapter 77 ? 77.032. Judicial Technology Account. Money in the judicial technology account may only be used for the support of programs that are approved by the committee and that provide technological support for the judiciary. The comptroller may pay money from the account only on vouchers approved by the committee.

Office of the Attorney General of Texas The Attorney General is the lawyer for the people of Texas and is charged by the Texas Constitution to, defend the laws and the Constitution of the State of Texas represent the State in litigation and approve public bond issues.

HHSCN  The Texas Health and Human Services Consolidated Network (HHSCN) is an award-winning telecommunications partnership between government agencies that connects and manages networks from the data center to the desktop.

Office of Electronic Government   The Office of Electronic Government in the General Services Administration was formerly named the Office of Electronic Commerce. Electronic government is about using technology to enhance access to and delivery of information and services to citizens, business partners, employees, agencies, and government entities.

National Telecommunications and Information Administration   The National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Commerce, is the Executive Branch's principal voice on domestic and international telecommunications and information technology issues.

Justice Integration, Information Technology Initiatives , Office of Justice Programs, Department of Justice. The Information Technology Initiatives web site is an Internet-based resource that enables justice professionals at all levels of government to access timely and useful information on information sharing process, initiatives and technological developments. It shares a wealth of helpful information such as integration profiles for states, compilations of information sharing experiences, funding approaches, system descriptions and overviews, and model integrated systems.

FCC  The Federal Communications Commission regulates interstate and international communications.
