Membership Information
Eligibility
Any county in Texas is eligible for membership in the County Information Resources Agency.
How to Join
The Interlocal Participation Agreement and the Agency ByLaws must be passed by the Commissioners Court. Links to the documents are provided below. You can download and print them if you have the, free, Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your system. Many government documents on the web use this format so it is worth your while to have it on your computer. If you need it, click on the link above. Once membership has been approved by the Court, mail the original or a certified copy to Joel Green, County Information Resources Agency, 1210 San Antonio, Austin, Texas, 78701.

Very Important
Be sure to have the Court designate an Agency Coordinator and provide that person's infomation in the spaces provided at the end of the Interlocal Participation Agreement. This person does not have to have any particular qualifications but should be the one with the most knowledge about your county's computers and computer systems. The Agency Coordinator is your primary source of communication with CIRA. |
